This fucking asshat hillbilly is infecting the Tour de France coverage with annoying commentary. When hired, the network must have instructed him to bring the conversation back to Lance Armstrong regardless of what any of the other commentators are talking about.
His remarks are so worthless I am starting to miss his ditsy counter-part of last years coverage, Kirsten (DUI and Boob-job) Gum.

We dumped cable, so now I just listen online with Eurosport or things like it and I must say I don't miss the US coverage at all.
Over here in the US visiting for a few weeks and was looking forward to seeing live TdF coverage every morning. Ok, I am from Australia and have to say 5 minutes of coverage where you probably get 2 of cycling without Phil mentioning what other crap was coming on before 4 minutes of commercials was I have to say a little annoying. Then, there is this nob-end, Al trautwig. Ok, I tolerated him for the first couple of days until the day in the Pyranees that Basso attacked Armstrong. Very exciting stage that Hincapie won. However , Al's comment that "Lance could have left them all at any time" really pissed me off. As one of the US's most sought after commentators (barf) I would have expected at least a little knowledge. Armstong was hurting, a moron could have seen that, which put Al lower than moron. Thankfully Chris Carmichael said it the way it was. Don't get me wrong, I have had nothing but admiration for Armstrong since '93 when I watched him win the worlds in Norway, let alone the recent stuff. But this waste of broadcasting space makes me want to watch something else.
Thankfully the US cycling diehads know better, just wish you could get one as an anchorman insread of using a wanker-man!
Al Trautwig is really fucking up the Olympics. Can't we get this asshole demoted? He's complaining about the ages of the female Chinese gymnasts or about how the judges do the scoring! what does he know? just sensationalism, melodrama and soap opera crap. What a jerk.
