New race season, new team for 2008. Cyclepaths/Wild Cherries has taken some of the building blocks established with Team Start Haus in 2007 and created a rock-solid 12 man roster to come charging down the sierras every weekend to challenge the entire Norcal road season.
Our team sponsors have been extremely generous this year, with huge support from Cyclepaths and Wild Cherries. Shoes from Adidas, helmets from Giro, glasses from Oakley and food from Clif Bar. Scott and SRAM and have also ensured that the entire team is riding on SRAM equipped Scott bikes.
Check it all out along with our team blog at http://cwcracing.org.
The Colorado State Patrol is planning on banning all group rides of 2,500 or more participants. Bicycle Colorado needs your help to keep epic rides like Elephant Rock, Triple Bypass, Mt Evans Hill Climb, Iron Horse Classic and more alive.
Not only would this hamper large group rides, but it would also affect the charities they fund.
All you need to do is take a minute of your time and sign an online petition. Let your voice be heard!

You down with EPO?
Yeah you know me!
Who's down with EPO?
Every last homie!
Liberty Seguros rider Roberto Heras, a four-time Vuelta a Espaa champion has tested positive to blood boosting via EPO. The counter-analysis of his returned positive A sample, taken on the penultimate stage of the Spanish Grand Tour on September 17, revealed the presence of the banned substance. Via Cyclingnews.
This no longer seems like shocking news. Every day it is a new rider under the needle. Either the current testing system is flawed or riders and managers are legally retarded for thinking they can get away with doping.

The air is cooling, the leaves have begun to dry and every passing day the darkness of night tightens its grip on the hours of sunlight. Some people call it Fall, others refer to it as Autumn or Summer's End.
I call it Cyclocross Season. The hour of pain.
Let the suffering begin.
I've received numerous emails asking for international support within my Weather.com XML Parser and WoW Server Status scripts. The Weather script now supports metric units, while the World of Warcraft script will read German and French server status.
Y'all is welcome.

Paolo Savoldelli barely managed to hang-on to his overall win of the 2005 Giro d'Italia in today's final GC stage.
Simoni made a heroic breakaway with Di Luca and Jos Rujano along the second-to-last climb of the day.

Gilberto was over 2:00 minutes down in 2nd place at the start of the stage, and at one point was the virtual maglia rosa - however he cramped and died on the ascent of Sestriere, ending his hopes of another Giro win. Had Simoni not seized up in the final kilometers, ole' Il' Falco would've been fucked.
Final Classification (baring any mishap in the run in to the sprinters finish tomorrow.)
- Paolo Savoldelli (I), Discovery Channel, 88:01:43
- Gilberto Simoni (I), Lampre-Caffita, at 0:28
- Jose' Rujano Guillen (Vz), Colombia-Selle Italia, at 0:45
- Danilo Di Luca (I), Liquigas-Bianchi, at 2:42
I spent the last week consuming as much information about MySQL as I could for an upcoming project.
"MySQL is an attractive alternative to higher-cost, more complex database technology. Its award-winning speed, scalability and reliability make it the right choice for corporate IT departments, Web developers and packaged software vendors."
As an experiment in my knowledge of this new database, I integrated this website with a backbone of MySQL.

Six-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong will retire on July 24, one day after the Tour de France. At a press conference in Atlanta, Georgia today, 33 year-old Armstrong announced that he would not be continuing for another year, confirming his statements earlier this year that "four months, and it's over."
Later, while off-camera, Lance may or may-not have been quoted saying, "I guess it's better to go out on a high-note than get busted for the doping I've been doing all these years."

Another one bites the dust... Olympic TT Gold Medalist, Lige-Bastogne-Lige champ, and all around tough gent, Tyler Hamilton was found guilty of doping by United States Anti-Doping Agency. The 34 year-old received the maximum two-year suspension for a first-time doping offense. It should be noted since Hamilton was accused of doping last fall, he has been infallible regarding his innocence. So that means he is either nuts (there was a good deal of evidence against him) or the USADA truly sucks - or both.
So here is the new website. I decided to integrate my training diary into it so there will always be new content. (as uninteresting as it might be). If anything, the training log will be a gauge of how tired or cranky I will be.
Since my 2004 season officially started on Monday November 10th, I wanted to get the information live as soon as possible. Thus, lack of other content. I will be adding the features from the old versions of ink.ph very soon.
A little something on programming the website: I wanted to talk about this as I am fairly proud of it. This website is completely automated. All I have to do is input my data into my training diary on my computer. The training diary data is then automatically uploaded once per day. I programmed a PHP script to interpret the data and output it into this page. It was my first time writing in PHP language. It is very similar to PERL, however I was still dumbfounded countless times while scripting.
